SmartNodes Projects gets funded by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness

The project SmartNode, Smart Nodes with Energy Storage for Improved Flexibility in Distribution Systems Operation, has been provisionally approved for funding under file ENE2017-88889-C2-1-R, within the 2017 call for R&D Projects from the National Program for the Promotion of Excellent Scientific Research (Knowledge Generation Subprogram), and under the National Plan for R&D&I 2013-2016.

SmartNodes will try to contribute to the flexibilization and activation of distribution systems through a conceptual, analytic, and demonstrative proposal of wide scope based on the existence of Intelligent Distribution Nodes (IDN). Such IDNs provide energy storage capacity, power processing, and intelligent control as a function of their position in the hierarchical structure of a distribution system.

The project would last 36 months, and has an approved Budget of 200.376 Euros.
