Eva Masero obtained her BSc in Industrial Electronics Engineering from the University of Extremadura (Spain) in 2016 and her MSc in Electronics, Robotics and Automation Engineering from the University of Seville (Spain) in 2018. Afterwards, she worked as a researcher on the ERC Advanced Grant OCONTSOLAR (Optimal Control of Thermal Solar Energy Systems) supervised by Profs. Eduardo F. Camacho and José M. Maestre. She received an FPU scholarship to undertake her PhD studies in Automation Engineering at the University of Seville, which she completed in 2023. She was also a visiting predoctoral researcher at the University of Sheffield in the UK from Sept to Dec 2021. From 2023 to 2026, she was an assistant professor in the Dept. of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering at the Politecnico di Milano. In 2026, she joined Loyola University as a lecturer. Her research focuses on data-driven, multi-agent, and model predictive control (MPC) for distributed systems, integrating artificial intelligence to enhance performance. She has developed dynamic coalitional MPC methods for large-scale interconnected systems, such as solar thermal power plants. She has also collaborated with industrial companies on data analysis, machine learning, and optimal control for industrial processes such as thermoforming machines and photovoltaic cells. Her research interests include multi-agent systems and predictive and data-driven methods applied to industrial and energy systems.
