Loyola-Abengoa Research Institute (LAR)

The Loyola-Abengoa Research Institute (LAR) is the fruit of collaboration between the University Loyola Andalusia and Abengoa,  the Andalusian company of international renown that is a pioneer in the field of renewable energies, through its business unit dedicated to R +D +I, called Abengoa Research, S.L.
This collaboration began with the signing of a framework agreement between the two maximum representatives of the two entities in 2011, and will be legally ratified in formal constitution before the competent organisms of the University Institute of Research Loyola-Abengoa Research, whose main objective is to become an international reference center for scientific research , development and innovation in technologies in areas related to the study of energy and sustainable development.

This research initiative, supported by a university institution of the Society of Jesus and by an Andalusian firm, aims to promote real collaboration between the university and business, as well as to help reduce the level of social exclusion, by making the fruits of research and technical and economic development of this Institute available to the most needy.
