The Loyola-Ferrer Chair of Innovation and Research into Health and Welfare was established in January, 2015. It is the fruit of the collaboration between Loyola University Andalusia and the pharmaceutical company Ferrer, and aims to promote teaching and research activities and the transfer of knowledge to society by carrying out various measures in the field of health and wellbeing. Thus, the Chair aims to become a benchmark of opinion in health and welfare, to respond to the concerns of health professionals, patients and citizens.
Under the auspices of the Chair, which has its headquarters at the campus of the University of Seville, studies and research works that improve the health and welfare of the population will be promoted. There will be relations with analogous Spanish and foreign institutions, and educational activities will take place, as well as training courses, seminars and conferences.
The team that forms the Chair is undoubtedly the essential element to carry out the activities that are to be developed. It is an open, multi-disciplinarian team with a vocation to serve and the desire to perform all those activities related to health and wellbeing that can help to improve society. Also, the Chair will have a committee of experts consisting of experts of renown.
