| Abstract |
The first letter to the Thessalonians is the earliest document of the New Testament canon. The data provided by Luke in Acts 16 and Paul in 1Thess reveal the situation of conflict that accompanied the Pauline preaching. This study takes us into the living environment in which to approach 1Thes, born to the occasion and purpose that gave rise to the letter. To this end, faces a detailed history of the city and its religiosity, the social setting of the Christian assembly and the reasons that led to the flight of Paul, confronting critically Lukan and Pauline data and assumptions that the most recent scholars of the chart have suggested.; La primera carta a los tesalonicenses es el escrito más antiguo del canon del Nuevo Testamento. Los datos que ofrecen Lucas en Hch 16 y Pablo en 1Tes revelan la situación conflictiva que acompañó la predicación paulina. El presente estudio nos sumerge en el ambiente vital en que nace el 1Tes para acercamos a la ocasión y finalidad que dieron origen a la carta. Para ello, afronta detalladamente la historia de la ciudad y su religiosidad, la configuración social de la asamblea cristiana y las razones que dieron lugar a la huida de Pablo, confrontando críticamente los datos lucanos y paulinos y las hipótesis que han sugerido los estudiosos más recientes de la carta. |
