Abstract

Three major conceptual approaches have interacted in the debates on the global problem of hunger in recent years: food security, food sovereignty and the right to food, one of which is technical, the other vindicatory and the third legal. Each approach has implications in terms of how to address the problem of hunger. It is therefore relevant to establish the delimitation between them, their differences, similarities and relationships. The three conceptual approaches have influenced each other in one way or another and have made the approaches to the fight against hunger increasingly richer, more complete and complex.
