Assistant Professor (PhD) in the Department of Social Psychology. He joined Universidad Loyola Andalucía following a solid research and teaching track at the University of Neuchâtel (Switzerland)—a historic institution carrying the legacy of Jean Piaget—where he worked under the supervision of Professors Tania Zittoun and Alex Gillespie (London Schoolof Economics). His international profile includes a further research stay at the University of Bern. He teaches at the Faculties of Communication and Arts, and Psychology and Education. He holds a recognised six-year research period (sexenio), ANECA accreditations (Profesor Contratado Doctor and Profesor Universidad Privada), and serves as a doctoral supervisor at both Universidad Loyola and UNED. His background in the history of psychology and sociocultural theory, alongside Professors Jorge Castro (UNED) and Florentino Blanco (UAM), and later expanded in Switzerland, has shaped a long-standing interest in the interplay between art and life. This has led him to a focus on blues music, self-writing, and narrative sense-making dynamics across the lifecourse, advocating for a psychology in constant dialogue with the social sciences, the humanities, and the arts. He belongs to the Human Activity Laboratory at the University of Seville, led by Professors Manuel de la Mata and Javier Saavedra, and to the Clinical, Social and Cultural Psychology research group at Loyola. He is also a member of international networks such as the centre of research in sociocultural psychology (CURIOUS, University of Neuchâtel) and the European Doctoral Network in Cultural Psychology (CUPSYNET). Additionally, he serves as a reviewer for scientific journals including Culture & Psychology, International Journal of Qualitative Methods, Human Arenas, and European Psychologist.
