I developed a professional career as an engineer for seven years, interrupted by a leave of absence to care for my two children. Therefore, I returned to my early philosophy studies, focusing on moral philosophy and applied ethics, and reached a master\'s degree in research methods in economics and business that allowed me to immerse myself in those ethical challenges caused by disruptive technologies. I obtained my Ph.D. at the University of Córdoba (Spain) in January 2015, with an extraordinary doctorate award. I am working in a permanent position in the Humanities and Philosophy Department at the University Loyola Andalucía (Spain), accredited as an Assistant Professor in Moral Thought by the National Quality Assessment and Accreditation Agency of Spain (ANECA) since January 13, 2017. A six-year research term (2013-2019) was also recognized by the National Assessment Commission on Research Activities of Spain (CNEAI). My teaching experience includes mandatory Applied Ethics courses (6ECTS) for grad students both in Communication and Business. My post-grad experience has been centered on courses of Ethics and Scientific Research and Epistemology. I have worked enthusiastically and effectively with students at various levels, generally non-philosophy students. I believe in keeping all my courses and tutoring sessions student-centered, so I focus on creating a dialogue with the students to help them to discover answers for themselves. This background could be particularly useful in establishing effective interdisciplinarity in academia and bridging solid cooperation with engineers, policymakers, and civil society actors, both essentials for the innovative area of Applied Ethics of Technology. My research work has served two interests since the end of my thesis. Firstly, I was involved in the critical edition of Francisco Suarez´s moral treatise of the XVI century under the auspices of a National R&D project (2015-2018). Secondly, I have been defining my own line of research, trying to advance in characterizing an Ethics of Resilience and Emancipation based on the opportunities and threats provided by Disruptive Technologies. Thanks to a José Castillejo Fellowship—Program for International Mobility of the Government of Spain—I had the opportunity to work for six months defining the philosophical foundations and scope of an innovative research line incorporating the former ethical and epistemic challenges to the processes of Future Smart Energy Systems at the Institute for Technology Assessment (ITAS) of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, collaborating with Prof. Dr. Dr. Rafaela Hillerbrand. Since January 2023, I have been coordinating the Working Package of ETHICS for a European Research Council project (ERC- Starting Grant) led by Prof. Dr. Emma Motrico named “Universal Prevention of Maternal, Perinatal Mental Disorders and Its Implementation as Normalized Routine Practice (e-perinatal).” The expected contributions to this four-year research project are focused on finding evidence of how ethical values, virtues, and/ or principles are part of the discourse of i) the mothers and ii) the stakeholders involved in those innovative practices that e-perinatal is going to implement for reach the goals of the project.
