| Abstract |
In the origins of Israel we find numerous juridical codifications that legislate the debts cancellation. The sabbatical and jubilee years, the judiciary spaces or the figure of the goel, arise from the need to maintain the essential principles that constitute Israel: donation, equality and freedom. Later on, these juridical figures, far from being abandoned, especially the one of the goel, are theologically reread by the prophets, from a messianic perspective. No wonder at all that Jesus himself would choose, as a program of his preaching, the justice, the forgiving of the debt, and the liberation from oppression. It is enough to read the The Lords Prayer, or to approach Jesus teaching in the parable of the merciless servant, to discover how the first Christian communities transmitted the forgiving and the justice, as an aspiration that never can be given up and essential to the Christian message.; En los orígenes de Israel encontramos numerosas codificaciones jurídicas que legislan la cancelación de la deuda. Los años sabáticos y jubilares, los espacios judiciales o la figura del goel nacen de la necesidad de preservar los principios esenciales que constituyen a Israel: la donación, la igualdad y la libertad. Posteriormente, estas figuras jurídicas, lejos de ser abandonadas, especialmente la del goel, son releídas teológicamente, en clave de esperanza mesiánica, por los profetas. No es pues de extrañar que Jesús mismo elija como programa de su predicación la justicia, la condonación de la deuda y la liberación de la opresión. Basta leer el padrenuestro, o acercarnos a la enseñanza de Jesús en la parábola del siervo inmisericorde para descubrir cómo las primeras comunidades cristianas transmitieron el perdón y la justicia como notas irrenunciables y esenciales del mensaje cristiano. |
