Abstract

The social and employment situation is slowly improving in Europe in recent years, but remain signs of divergence between Member States. In line with the gradual economic recovery from 2013 employment rates increase, while unemployment rates are declining in almost all Member States. Most Member States have undertaken reforms and carried out actions (boost demand for labor, reforms in education systems, measures to boost female participation in the labor market, pension reforms) which are having positive effects, however further efforts are needed to stimulate growth and establish a positive for creating quality employment environment.
