The objective of this research is to demonstrate that the University of Granada needs to create a university radio to satisfy the information needs of the university community. To do this, we have compiled statistics on the needs of the UGR and radio consumption. Subsequently, and in view of the results, we have made a proposal for an online university radio called UGRadio to satisfy the information demands of the UGR and in turn serve as a knowledge tool for the institution. © 2016, Universidad del Zulia.
