The author proposes a reflection about secularization and relativism, setting off from the dialogue between Gianni Battimo and René Giradr in the work "Truth or weak faith? Dialogue on Christianity and relativism". The question being raised is wether starting from the scapegoat hypothesis, its revelation and its influence in human culture, such as it is understood by the French anthropologist, it is possible for us to go on speaking about God, about thuth, and whether it is possible to face the future of humanity without violence. This question tackles, in some way, the issues, so many times manifested by the previous Pontifex, Benedict XVI, about truth, and the dangers of relativism in present day society; El autor propone una reflexión sobre secularización y relativismo a partir del diálogo entre Gianni Vattimo y René Girard en la obra "¿Verdad o fe débil? Diálogo sobre cristianismo y relativismo". La pregunta que se plantea es si a partir de la hipótesis del chivo expiatorio, su relvelación y su influencia en la cultura humana tal como la entiende el antropólogo francés, se puede seguir hablando de Dios, de verdad y se puede afrontar el futuro de la humanidad sin violencia. La cuestión aborda, de alguna manera, la problemática, tantas veces manifestada por el anterior pontífice, Benedicto XVI, sobre la verdad y los peligros del relativismo en la sociedad actual
