Monika Kabata es investigadora y docente especializada en estudios europeos y relaciones internacionales. Es licenciada en Estudios Europeos y cuenta con un máster en la misma disciplina, ambos otorgados por la Universidad de Wroclaw (Polonia). Además, obtuvo un doctorado en Ciencias Sociales y Políticas en Nottingham Trent University (Reino Unido), donde centró su investigación en la intersección de las políticas de lucha contra el terrorismo, migración y control fronterizo en la Unión Europea. Su experiencia docente incluye la impartición de asignaturas en Nottingham Trent University y en la Universidad Loyola, abarcando áreas como las ciencias políticas, los estudios europeos y las relaciones internacionales. Sus principales intereses de investigación se centran en los Estudios de Seguridad y los Estudios Europeos, con un enfoque particular en la teoría de la securitización y la gestión de la migración en la Unión Europea.
