I hold a Ph.D. inPsychology from Universitat de València, obtained with honors in 2005. Mycareer is characterized by consistent and in-depth research in policymaking forsocial inclusion and education, utilizing new technologies. I have contributedto developing digital competence frameworks and social inclusion policies, which are important for the intersection of psychology, technology, andpolicy-making, influencing the future of European educational and socialpolicies. In addition to mydoctorate, I have earned a Master\'s in Clinical and Health Psychology (2007)and a Master\'s in Project Management (2008). I have held roles such asScientific Officer at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission inSevilla and Brussels (2012-2021), Juan de la Cierva Postdoctoral Researcher atUniversitat de València (2009-2011), and Torres Quevedo Postdoctoral Researcher(2006-2007). My academic career has been enriched by research stays atUniversité Catholique de Louvain, University of Michigan, and HarvardUniversity. Since 2016, I have focusedmy research on the development of key competencies, particularly digital andnon-cognitive competencies, and their relationship with education and jobperformance. My work in this area has been funded by the European Commissionthrough the Horizon 2020 Programme, the Joint Research Centre, and the DGEmployment. A significant achievement is the publication of the "EuropeanDigital Competence Framework version 2.1" (DigComp 2.1), a reference usedby UNESCO and the European Commission to support digital competence developmentacross Member States.  Before 2016, myresearch focused on the relationship between digital technologies and socialinclusion, emphasizing mental health for elder care, migration, and education.I have secured funding from several European programmes, including the"Ambient Assisted Living Programme," "Daphné," and the"6th and 7th Framework" programmes. Throughout my career, Ihave published 14 European scientific reports, 12 articles in journals such asthe International Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry, Archives of Gerontology andGeriatrics, and the European Journal of Ageing, as well as 11 books or bookchapters with publishers such as Tirant Lo Blanch, Routledge, and PalgraveMacMillan. I have presented my findings at approximately 50 conferences, delivering invited speeches and oral presentations at national andinternational levels. My scientific contributions have influenced Europeanpolicy, particularly in implementing digital technologies to enhance theemployability of carers and improve the quality of life for older adults. Mywork is cited in European Commission Communications, including "RegionsTowards a Job-Rich Recovery" (SWD(2012)95 final), "Towards Social Investmentfor Growth and Cohesion" (SWD(2013) 41 final), and the background document"Growing the Silver Economy in Europe" (2015).
