Oana is an Agricultural and Food Economist with research interests at the intersection of food policy, health economics and consumer behaviour. Her research integrates advanced statistical methods, econometrics, experimental approaches, and Big Data analytics to better understand how individuals make food decisions and how policy interventions can foster healthier and more sustainable outcomes. She has extensive experience in designing and analysing both primary and secondary datasets, applying discrete choice models, causal inference techniques, and innovative methods such as mouse-tracking to examine consumer behaviour.Oana has conducted research and teaching at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and the University of Reading. She has also collaborated with international institutions including the World Bank, the European Commission, and the UK Department for Environment, Food &Rural Affairs (DEFRA), contributing to policy evaluation and evidence-based policy design. Oana has an MSc in Agricultural Economics and a PhD in Agricultural and Food Economics from the University of Reading, UK.
