Abstract In fourth-wave feminism, the digital space and hashtags, such as #SeAcab & oacute;, now serve the purpose of forging ties and communities. This hashtag originated in Spain after the kiss that Luis Rubiales gave Jennifer Hermoso on the lips after the final of the 2023 FIFA Women\'s World Cup. This gave rise to a controversy that subsequently made its way into the public debate. In light of the foregoing, the main research objective is to determine how the traditional digital media used #SeAcab & oacute;, specifically whether or not they maintained the emotional responsibility that the feminist movement attributes to hashtags. To this end, a content analysis was performed to identify the type of coverage that those media gave #SeAcab & oacute;. Among other conclusions, it was noted that the media coverage was remarkable, and that the narrative was shaped by issues such as polarization and references to women\'s issues, approached from different journalistic perspectives.
