Investigador y profesor de Bioquímica con amplia experiencia en células madre e iPSC, especializado en envejecimiento, enfermedades mitocondriales y fisiopatología hepática. Inició su carrera científica en la Universidad de Sevilla y en el Instituto de Investigaciones Biomédicas, donde adquirió una sólida formación en la generación y caracterización de líneas iPSC humanas. Realizó su tesis doctoral en la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, centrada en el uso de iPSC como modelo de enfermedades mitocondriales, generando más de quince líneas celulares depositadas en el Banco Nacional de Líneas Celulares. Es autor de doce publicaciones Q1, ha participado en proyectos de investigación competitivos y ha desarrollado docencia universitaria en Bioquímica. Posteriormente realizó un contrato postdoctoral en el Instituto de Biomedicina de Sevilla, donde investigó el papel del Complejo II mitocondrial en la fisiopatología hepática.
