Ingeniero en Mecatrónica por la Universidad San Buenaventura (2003) e Ingeniero en Automática y Electrónica Industrial por la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (2009). Posee un Máster en Automática, Robótica e Informática Industrial (2009), un Máster en Tecnología Energética para el Desarrollo Sostenible (2012) y un Doctorado en Automática, Robótica e Informática Industrial (2012) por la misma universidad. Con más de 22 años de experiencia profesional, ha liderado proyectos en automatización industrial, energías renovables, sistemas híbridos y diagnóstico de fallos. Publicó artículos científicos en revistas de alto impacto como Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews , Sustainable Cities and Society, IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering y Expert Systems with Applications . Cuenta con patentes innovadoras en temas de análisis de vibraciones tanto en Colombia como en España, y ha recibido premios y reconocimientos en Colombia e Italia por sus contribuciones a la automatización, las energías renovables y la sostenibilidad. Entre 2009 y 2012 participó en proyectos europeos como EOLIA y MICHEGER junto a empresas como ACCIONA Energía e Ingeteam. En 2012 asumió el cargo de CEO de la empresa española INEL, liderando proyectos de energías alternativas y sensorización inteligente hasta 2015. En la Universidad EAN, entre 2014 y 2023, desempeñó roles como Director de Programa en Ingeniería en Energía, Director del Departamento de Procesos y Vicerrector de Investigación y Transferencia, impulsando estrategias de sostenibilidad y gestionando más de 8 patentes. En 2024, fue beneficiario de la ayuda María Zambrano para realizar una estancia posdoctoral en la Universidad de La Laguna, España. Actualmente es Profesor Titular y Director de Proyectos de Investigación y Transferencia en la Universidad Loyola Andalucía, donde lidera proyectos de investigación aplicada y transferencia tecnológica, destacándose por sus habilidades de liderazgo, planificación estratégica y gestión de proyectos de alto impacto. His scientific publications appear in high-impact journals such as Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews , Sustainable Cities and Society , IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering , and Expert Systems with Applications . He holds innovative patents on vibration analysis in both Colombia and Spain and has received awards and recognitions in Colombia and Italy for his contributions to automation, renewable energy, and sustainability. Between 2009 and 2012, he participated in European projects such as EOLIA and MICHEGER in collaboration with companies like ACCIONA Energía and Ingeteam. In 2012, he became the CEO of the Spanish company INEL, leading projects on alternative energies and intelligent sensorization until 2015. From 2014 to 2023, at Universidad EAN, he served as Program Director for Energy Engineering, Department Director of Processes, and Vice-Rector for Research and Transfer, driving sustainability strategies and managing over eight patents.
