La actividad del solicitante se distribuye entre la investigación, docencia y gestión. En investigación, ha participado en cuatro proyectos nacionales (dos de ellos aún en vigor), es investigador principal de un grupo de investigación de la Junta de Andalucía y del Instituto de Matemáticas de la Universidad de Sevilla. Ha disfrutado de una Beca de Colaboración, Beca de la Fundación Cámara y Beca PIF de la Universidad de Sevilla. Ha participado en más de 50 congresos internacionales y un total de 42 publicaciones, de los cuales 35 son artículos de investigación indexados. Todo ello en el área de álgebras no asociativas, teoría de grafos y algorítmica y computación. Ha realizado un total de 3 estancias predoctorales y 2 estancias postdoctorales impartiendo un total de 6 seminarios durante dichas estancias. La mayoría de ellas han sido realizadas en el extranjero. Ha sido galardonado con un premio a la divulgación científica y con el premio extraordinario de doctorado de la Universidad de Sevilla. Es miembro del grupo de investigación FQM-326: Geometría Diferencial y Teoría de Lie de la Universidad de Sevilla y es investigador principal desde Octubre de 2018. Las citas totales son 98 según WoS, 206 según Google Scholar y 161 según Researchgate. El promedio de citas por año durante los últimos 5 años es 3.74 según WoS. El índice h es 6 según Wos y 9 según Google Scholar. La puntuación en Researchgate es de 18,83. En 2015 obtuvo su primer sexenio de investigación y el pasado 3 de abril de 2018 obtuvo la acreditación de Profesor Titular por la ANECA. En la docencia, el candidato comenzó como Profesor Asociado en la Universidad Pablo de Olavide y en la Universidad de Sevilla durante el curso 2007/2008. Entre 2011 y 2013, estuvo impartiendo créditos prácticos mientras se encontraba en posesión de una beca PIF del Plan Propio de la Universidad de Sevilla. Posteriormente, estuvo como Profesor Sustituto Interino durante dos años en dicha Universidad y como Profesor Asociado en la Universidad Loyola Andalucía desde Enero de 2014. Desde Septiembre de 2015, es profesor a tiempo completo en la Universidad Loyola Andalucía, teniendo contrato indefinido desde Diciembre de 2015. Se destaca la calificación en encuestas de docencia con puntuaciones elevadas y la impartición de asignaturas en diferentes grados (matemáticas, química, física, administración y dirección de empresas, empresariales) e ingenierías (salud, informática, electromecánica, organización industrial, mecatrónica y robótica). Como gestor, ha sido miembro del comité organizador de un total de 8 congresos. También ha sido coordinador de varias asignaturas. Además, lleva 4 años participando en el Plan de Acción Tutorial para alumnos de nuevo ingreso. Ha sido coordinador de los grados de Ingeniería y actualmente coordina el grado en Matemática Aplicada. Además ha participado en la redacción de las actas de varios congresos nacionales.
