Abstract:
The project aims at increasing cross-boarder cooperation between EU Member States using in particular two Framework Decisions (FDs) - 2008/947 and 2009/829. This aim will be achieved mainly through training of competent authorities and probation services and creating a sustainable network of professionals. Experts delivering or coordinating the subsequent activities are familiar with the subject and had been involved previously in similar projects.
Objectives:
1. to increase the awareness and the expertise in using two Framework Decisions (FDs) - 2008/947 and 2009/829,
2. to create a sustainable network of key actors who can act as trainers or resources for their jurisdictions regarding the use of the two FDs.
Activities:
- Management and coordination of the project
- Training gap analysis - a questionnaire will be distributed to the competent authorities and probation services in the 12 Member States involved in the project in order to identify the difficulties, the training needs and the expectations of the competent authorities and the probation officers.
- Literature review and the elaboration of the e-manual. The literature review will focus mainly on the training materials and tools produced by the previous EU projects dealing with FDs. Based on training gap analysis and the literature review conclusions, an e-manual will be elaborated. The mainsail will be sent to the competent authorities and probation services prior to the training.
- Delivering the training. The training will be delivered together for competent authorities and probation services. It will also be based on the network of cooperation: countries that cooperate more frequent will be involved in the same training session. The training will follow the blended and practice focused approach. The training will be organised as training of trainers session.
- Dissemination. Dissemination will target different types of audiences: professionals, students, opinion leaders, victims, public etc. |
