Abstract In this paper, a modulation strategy is formulated to be integrated in\n the model of a 5-level AC-DC converter. The resulting formulation is\n able to deals with the unbalance voltage problem generated in the\n dc-link. Such modulation strategy can be calculated offline and the\n solution can be stored as a multidimensional array for its use during\n the online operation. The effectiveness and good performance of the\n converter under the proposed control approach is validated by simulation\n results.
