Green innovation is crucial for creating value for firms and society alike. Firms are key actors in green innovation, benefiting from competitive advantages while positively impacting society. Successful green innovation relies on collaboration and access to knowledge, which clusters can effectively provide. Despite their importance in fostering innovation, the role of science and technology parks (STPs) in green innovation is underexplored. This study empirically examines their impact on firm green innovation, analysing both average effects and variations based on STP age. The findings support the positive but heterogeneous influence of STPs in enhancing green innovation and should stimulate research on the contribution of STPs to green innovation.
