Abstract

The present work describes the Islamic institutional actuality of two different countries in the European panorama. The historical and identity trajectory is crucial in the case of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while in the case of Spain the management of Islam was treated from state control towards a religious minority. Nevertheless, both Islamic institutions share the hierarchy and order in their projects, although the Spanish case is still far behind. These diverse realities have produced two opposing models that, however, shape the varied management of European Islam and its relationship with states.
