Abstract

In this article we ask, in the first place, in what sense it is possible to speak of "Jesuit philosophy", be-yond a formal and circumstantial understanding in the sense that it denotes the philosophical activity transmitted in works of thought produced by the members of the Society of Jesus; If it is possible and pertinent to speak of Jesuit philosophy in a sense not only formal, but also substantive and normative, and what may this imply for the performance of the practice of philosophy itself. Second, we place the character of Jesuit philosophizing and they contribution in the doctrinal, social and epochal context of the so-called Iberian School of Peace, where he shares common methodologies and practical orienta-tions. And thirdly, the principles that animate the Jesuit philosophy for the treatment of the universality and diversity of the human race.
