This paper analyses some Baroque topics in Emmanuel L & eacute;vinas' works, particularly the conception of life as a dream and the idea of disillusion. The first idea is studied by our author from an ontological perspective, and the second is studied from an ethical perspective. We analyse L & eacute;vinas' discourse and phenomenological practice as a Baroque manner or writing style; more precisely, we conceive them to be << dramatics of the phenomena >> or a staging of the different notions he uses and that only have complete meaning within the precise factual situation in which they belong. Given this, we highlight the pertinence of L & eacute;vinas' philosophy to a neo -Baroque time.
