This article makes known new about the Spanish painters who worked in the Galley Real at Seville. In the limited field of the Spanish mythological painting during the Renaissance, the work of Pedro de Villegas has a special relevance. The investigation was centred in notarial document and diverse sources of these paintings, contributing with important notices for the study of mythological painting in Spain during the sixteenth century.
