Communion today remains a challenge for philosophy, theology and the multicultural societies in which we live. Kierkegaard was not oblivious to the political and social tensions of his time and tried to bring his thinking to bear on the reform of society. His analysis of communion goes hand in hand with that of the individual, for without the individual no communion is possible. The analysis of the category of the individual, the possible communions and what prevents it is the central object of this research. The analysis of Kierkegaard’s work lays the foundations for continuing to help heal the wounds and the lack of communion that we suffer from today. © 2025 Universidad Loyola Andalucia.
