This article addresses the presence of religion and spirituality in the public sphere and in public deliberations. The classic theory of secularism has sustained the drop down of religions and their reclusion in the private sphere. However, religions and spiritualities seem alive in the 21st century. It is possible that in our postsecular time, we could have a new understanding of secularism, one that could welcome, as a contribution, the presence of religions and spirituality in the public sphere.
