Although the historiography on the Nuevas Poblaciones de Sierra Morena y Andalucia, founded during the reign of Carlos III with families coming mainly from Central Europe, is considerably extensive, the information we have about its first inhabitants is very scarce. In this sense, an aspect as relevant as the contacts that the referred settlers maintained with their localities of origin when they were already in Spain is still an unknown. Thus, in this article we will offer a first approximation to the process by which families break their economic ties with Central Europe to establish themselves definitively in our country.
