Abstract

The "Colombina library" keeps several recipes on care and dyeing hair and other one relating to the care and beautify of the eyes. Throughout this research paper we have analysed them, by emphasis on materials and procedures. As well, we set up a balance among these medieval cosmetic recipes and a wide range of manuscripts and other primary resources from in and outside of the Crown of Castile. One of the most distinctive recipe treated about the concern of white hair caring. Finally, we have highlighted the bound between the Pharmacopoeia, the cosmetic discipline, and the Galenic Medicine to understanding the medieval charm rituals.
