| Abstract | FLEXITRANSTORE (Plataforma integrada para aumentar la Flexibilidad en las redes de transmisión inteligentes con almacenamiento y una gran implantación de fuentes de energía renovables) tiene como objetivo contribuir a la evolución hacia una red de transmisión paneuropea con alta flexibilidad y altos niveles de interconexión. Esto facilitará la transformación de la actual combinación de producción de energía al incrementar la proporción de fuentes de energía renovable. Se desarrollarán, instalarán, demostrarán y probarán nuevas tecnologías de red inteligente, métodos de control y almacenamiento y nuevos enfoques de mercado, introduciendo flexibilidad en el sistema eléctrico europeo. FLEXITRANSTORE promoverá el aumento de los flujos de electricidad transfronterizos utilizando la valorización de servicios de flexibilidad. El proyecto adopta un enfoque tanto nacional como regional, reconociendo la necesidad de integrar a la perfección los mercados nacionales, particularmente en la red del sudeste de Europa, que aún carece de la alta interconectividad que tiene el resto de la red europea. FLEXITRANSTORE desarrollará la siguiente generación de una Red de Energía Flexible (REF) que se integrará en el Mercado Energético Interno Europeo (MIE), a través de la valorización de servicios de flexibilidad. Esta REF cuenta con las capacidades de un sistema de energía que mantiene un servicio continuo frente a grandes y rápidas oscilaciones en la oferta y la demanda. Por tanto, la infraestructura de mercado mayorista y los nuevos modelos de negocio dentro de esta REF integrada debería actualizarse a productores de redes, ofreciendo incentivos a aquellos nuevos en unirse y mostrando nuevas perspectivas comerciales para la gestión de recursos transfronterizos y para el comercio energético. Abstract FLEXITRANSTORE (An Integrated Platform for Increased FLEXIbility in smart TRANSmission grids with STORage Entities and large penetration of Renewable Energy Sources) aims to contribute to the evolution towards a pan-European transmission network with high flexibility and high interconnection levels. This will facilitate the transformation of the current energy production mix by hosting an increasing share of renewable energy sources. Novel smart grid technologies, control and storage methods and new market approaches will be developed, installed, demonstrated and tested introducing flexibility to the European power system. FLEXITRANSTORE will promote increased cross-border electricity flows using the valorization of flexibility services. The project takes both a national and a regional approach, acknowledging the need to seamlessly integrate national markets, particularly in the South Eastern European network, which still lacks the high interconnectivity that the rest of the European network has. FLEXITRANSTORE will develop a next generation Flexible Energy Grid (FEG) which will be integrated into the European Internal Energy Market (IEM), through the valorization of flexibility services. This FEG addresses the capabilities of a power system to maintain continuous service in face of rapid and large swings in supply or demand. Thus, a wholesale market infrastructure and new business models within this integrated FEG should be upgraded to network players, offering incentives to new ones to join, while demonstrating new business perspectives for cross-border resources management and energy trading. |
