Abstract

This research highlights the philosophy of Benjamin Fondane, a Jewish victim of Nazi barbarism in 1944. His philosophy stems from his dialogue with Shestov, with whom he had a very close relationship. His relationship with the Russian thinker is one of discipleship, marking both his aesthetic and philosophical side. Fondane is an aesthete, poet, philosopher, writer, thinker to be discovered, who places at the centre of reflection the real as the ungraspable by reason alone, by his defence of the singular.
