The present work is a tour of the magisterial texts on missionary spirituality, from a holistic perspective, that notes the importance of spiritual belief of all members of the Church, called to participate in the mission ad gentes. The spiritual motivation, which starts in the II Vatican, is growing in the texts in an era in which the missionary disappointment and the objective necessity of the first announcement to a significant part of humanity is evident.; El presente trabajo es un recorrido por los textos magisteriales sobre la espiritualidad misionera que, desde una perspectiva integradora, constata la importancia de la convicción espiritual de todos los miembros de la Iglesia, llamados a participar en la misión ad gentes. La motivación espiritual, que arranca del Vaticano II, va creciendo en los textos en una época en la que se hace evidente la desilusión misionera y la necesidad objetiva del primer anuncio a una parte importante de la humanidad
