Abstract Goal: This study draws on the postcolonial approach to the International Relations to analyze the fourth episode from the first season of the Danish political drama television series Borgen, entitled “One Hundred Days.” The article is organized in three parts: the first presents the theoretical framework of postcolonialism in the International Relations to later offer a brief review of the postcolonial relationship between Greenland and Denmark. The final part determines if Borgen (01x04) adopts a descriptive vision of the postcolonial relationships, or if it goes a step further through a prescriptive vision. Meto Methodology: The qualitative methodology has been used, based on the use of the thematic literature review and film analysis. On the one hand, the procedure for accessing information from secondary sources has been carried out through the following search instruments and bibliographic databases: Web of Science, Scopus, Google Scholar and Scielo. On the other hand, discourse analysis was applied to Borgen\'s episode 4. Results: In this vein, the article analyses if the context presented in the episode only reveals the asymmetrical international relations underlined in postcolonial approaches, thus adopting a descriptive approach, or if it provides additional solutions to these problems, which would offer a prescriptive approach to postcolonial relations. We conclude that the postcolonial approach adopted is the latter. Contributions: A literature review on a postcolonial approach to international relations is provided and the theory is applied to a hypothetical case of politics, such as the selected Borgen episode, and with this, it enables an approach of theory to international practice. © 2021, Centro Universitrio Curitiba - UNICURITIBA.
