In recent years Spanish universities have played a key role in the promotion of development and international cooperation. To that end they have set up structures of solidarity whose purpose has been to promote, organize and coordinate projects and activities in the field of solidarity. We have identified 94 such structures in Spanish universities, and send them a 28-questions survey aimed to profile their organization, financing system, activities, etc., key aspects to maintain the necessary inter-university cooperation. This paper presents the main findings of the study, discussing the results with respect to previous studies in the field, and addressing the key issues identified in the academic literature in recent years.
