The department of Psychology of the Loyola University Andalusia consists of the areas of knowledge characteristic of Psychology: Basic Psychology, Developmental Psychology and Education, Personality, Evaluation and Psychological Treatment, Social Psychology, Psychobiology and Methodology of Behavioral Sciences. Its members are all teachers and researchers proficient in these areas of knowledge.
The Department offers instruction in the degrees of Psychology, Criminology, Communication, Early Childhood and Primary Education, as well as in the dual degrees that include some of the degrees just mentioned. It is also part of the official material in post graduate courses, like the University Master’s in Financial Management, the Master’s in Tax Counseling and the University Master’s in People and Talent Management.
These training offers are complemented by the organization and participation of the members of the department in various specialized and advancement courses, conferences, seminars, briefings, courses and meetings, as well as publications in books, book chapters and specialized journals. They are also involved in various R+D+i+t projects at national and international level. The results are reflected in reports and articles in scientific journals with high index impacts.
The Department of Psychology is in close collaborations with various national and foreign research centers, like the Research Network on Preventive Activities and Promotion of Health (redIAPP), the PSICOST scientific association, the San Juan de Dios Foundation, the University of Sidney (Australia), the University of Concepción (Chile) and the center for the Economics of Mental Health (Institute of Psychiatry & Kings College of London), through specific research project programs.
