Spanish Language and Culture Classes
During the Welcome Week at Universidad Loyola, exchange students will join a free, intensive Spanish language and culture course. Before beginning classes, they will be sent a Spanish language level test by Loyola's school of lanugages, Loyola Idiomas, to place students in the group that best fits their level.
Throughout the stay at the Universidad Loyola, students have the chance to take Spanish courses that will help improve the language level and get the most out of their exchange. The language courses are directed by Loyola Idiomas.
Pre-Exchange Spanish Course
Every July, before starting your exchange during the Fall semester you can get started with a 20-hour online Spanish language course that prepares you for your arrival to Andalusia!
Intensive Spanish Course
We offer a 10-hour intensive Spanish course which is worth a total of 1 ECTS for all international students in the Welcome Week at the beginning of their stay in Spain providing them with a survival kit enabling them to begin this exciting journey. To receive the 1 ECTS students must attend all sessions.
Semestral Extensive Spanish Course
During the semester students can join the 26-hour extensive Spanish language course to intensify the learning progress and receive 3 ECTS. The registration for the extensive courses is done directly with Loyola Idiomas during the first weeks of the semester. The schedule of the courses is intended to adapt the class schedule of the participant.
Spanish Culture and Society Workshops
To complement the language learning process Loyola Idiomas offers a 20-hour Spanish culture workshops that teaches about gastronomy, society, cinema, literature and curiosities about the Andalusian culture through practical acitvities. The workshops are worth 2 ECTS. The registration for the course is done directly with Loyola Idiomas in the course of the semester.
All three courses together offer students a total of 6 ECTS. The obtained credits will be listed on the official Transcipt of Records.

Accommodation options for international students
Different housing models can be chosen by exchange students. Typically students rent a room in shared apartments or stay in a student residence. If you are keen on a full immersion in the local community we recommend a home stay with a host family. All options will help you integrate yourself into the university and city environments.

- Options for the first days. If you arrive in Córdoba before you're given your apartment and need a hostel to stay, there are many hostels around the city. Here some options:

- Albergue de la Juventud: It is well-equipped and inexpensive. The Albergue de la Juventud in Córdoba is always in high demand, which is why we recommend that you make your reservation at least two months in advance.

New students residence in the surroundings of the Sevilla campus. A great choice if you are looking for comfort, close to campus and modern housing. The residence is equipped with a swimming pool, study rooms, gym, community areas and more. Board and individual or double rooms available.
