School of Silence

This initiative is born of the desire to offer a qualified space where it is possible to learn to be in silence and connect with one’s inner voice. In a world shaken by hurry, hyperactivity, noise, competitiveness, etc. where almost everything is measured by effectiveness, quantitative results and rankings of all types, we make this offer knowing that silence is the way and means of access to the deepest levels of one’s being, where the spiritual dimension can be “touched” and perceived in a broad sense, and where the transcendent dimension of life flowers.

Silence, a prelude to prayer for believers and a space of serenity and harmony for everyone, has become a shared meeting place for students, PDI and PAS of the University, as well as for postgraduate students.

The School of Silence has weekly meetings, on both campuses, throughout the course.

In Cordoba, it is on Tuesdays from 14:00 to 14:30, led by Mª Rita Martín, SED director.
In Seville, it is on Thursdays from 14:00 to 14:30, led by Manuel López-Casquete, professor in the university and specialist in the field.
